This week I added some new technical SEO recommendations.
One thing I recommend everyone do is a weekly SEO audit using Google Search Console. Even if you don’t make changes to your website every week, this is where Google will tell you if it’s having any problems with your website- so you need to pay attention to it.
Some of the problems that Google might encounter include:
- Errors accessing pages on your site
- Warnings about pages it encounters on your website
- A notification that Google is excluding certain pages from your site from their index.
Of course, there’s also a way to look at the valid pages it’s found on your website, as well. With each of these guides, I explain what you need to do about each of these items.
I also added a guide to XML sitemaps. Not every website needs one, but this will help you understand if yours does and why it might help.
Each of these technical resources are available to everyone.
