Yoast’s Speed, EAT and Reciprocal Links, Knowledge Graph, and Reviews (12/9/2020)

Lots of great questions- with lots of specific action items- in today’s office hours.

We continue to struggle with page speed issues. There’s a rumor going around that the Yoast SEO plugin (for WordPress) is bloated and slow. We did a quick test and saw that it might be slow, indeed.

Someone asked about how some companies get their social media profiles in Google’s Knowledge Graph. It’s simple, thanks to Yoast. That assumes you are working with WordPress, though. If not, there are other options for you.

Finally we talked about best-practices for handling reviews. How do you get them easily? Should you respond to them?
